It sounds like you want to make the greens "pop." To do that, try using colors directly opposite on the color wheel http://www.faceters.com/askjeff/images/color_wheel1.jpg It may seem strange to use purple/red/orange with green, but when you use colors from the wheel that are right next to each other, they will complement each other, but they'll all sort of blend together (if you're painting, the muddy the color).
